Dear Lawrence,

I read your cruel and unloving comments against my friends at Aware Woman Center for Witchcraft and I am outraged! As the pastor of the First Church of the Seabreeze, I feel that it is my duty to tell you that your comments have set the Wiccan-Christian common ground movement back to the Dark Ages. Your crusade against their church is nothing more than a witch hunt!

Just where do you get off persecuting these people anyway! My good friend Patricia Weird-Bindle, of the pro-choice Wiccan movement, says that your comments in last Sunday's Sentinel have caused her to suffer innumerable instances of persecution, nastiness and meanness. Since last Sunday, she has been pelted with grapefruits, tangelos, passion-fruits, kiwis, watermelons, cantaloupes, cucumbers, under-ripe kumquats and jalapeños.

Furthermore, your comments are offensive to all members of my church who also happen to be Wiccans. So stop giving these witches such a hard time! After all, it's their right under the U.S. Constitution to worship in the church of their choice. Even though I don't agree with some of their theology, these people have the right to worship wherever they want. If you don't stop your nastiness, pretty soon the government will revoke the church's tax exempt status. And then where will we be? We'll have to get involved in politics, that's where!

You are taking all the love out of the Christian message and wanting to replace it with the Ten Commandments. So I ask you in the name of Christian love - Stop this witch hunt!

I completly agree with the above post. I am Roman Chatholic and two of my friends one being my best friend from first grade who i didn't find out was Wiccan until one year ago are Wiccans. they don't make pacts with the devil. you are the people that are being un christian didn't God want usto acept other people not harm them . love thy nieghbor. do unto others as you would have them do unto you. and God created these people if he wanted everyone to be the same religon he would have done something.Religon is just away to express your beliefs. My idea is that everyone belives in the same God just in diferent forms. not only are you breaking several laws and consitutional rights of these people but you are disobaying what od sent his son here to tell us. you aren't God leave the judging from him.

This is riduculous! Should every person in the world but christians just be done away with? That's the message I get when I read the messages you people post! And Christianity isn't in the pure innocent light either! In the book of Joshua, god authorizes the genocide of the cannanites for being pagan! What kind of god is that!?

I don't expect you people to be tolerant, because the bible never says to be tolerant of anyone but christians. Yet you people are the worst! I read online dozens of cases where cahtolics and christians abused or killed people in exorcisms, because they though they were possessed. You never hear that about wiccans, because we don't believe in demons!

A woman and her two daughters suffocated her third daughter for being possessed by demons when she was only sick. Another woman stripped and beat her daughter to death for being possessed. How about the catholic preists who continually molest children? Why not kick them out of the church because they are clearly not men of god! And do I even have to mention the KKK? Look it up. It's all on religioustolerance.org.

And we're one of the oldest religions out there. Wicca, yes, was repopularized by Gardner, that is true. But it traces back to the Celts. That's BEFORE christ and christianity. There are more cases of ritual abuse for the sinlle-god religions than any other. You people are whats wrong with the world, not us.
