God has brought millions of people from "closed" nations to our shores. These college students are the best and the brightest people in their nation, who come to earn and American degree, and to make American friends. Reaching out to them is a worthy project for home-school families. Befriending these strangers, helping them with their English, having them over for dinner, lets them SEE the gospel in action. All the kids can help make the guests welcome.

We can use an interest in their language and culture as another superhighway to their hearts. Kids in public schools can study French or Spanish ... but we have the glorious opportunity to learn Turkish, Farsi, or Arabic from native speakers! Let the foreign student explain something they know and love very well -- their own language -- and you can have a friend for life!
