Youth Explosion
Minneapolis, MN – All of the participants of Youth Explosion enjoyed Father Mike Kollar, the challenging speaker and director of National Evangelization Teams (NET) from Minneapolis. We thought you’d like to know more about his ministry.
Father Mike began his work in youth evangelism one year after his ordination into the priesthood in 1969. He was first assigned to oversee the ministry of the St. Paul Catholic Youth Center — and he has since guided it to become one of the most successful youth ministries in the nation.
In 1981, Father Mike launched the first NET team. Young people in the team travelled to a diocese where they served four to six weeks at a time conducting retreats for the youth in local churches. So far, in each of the 46 dioceses where NET has served, all of the churches have asked them to return the following year!
While statistics reveal that church attendance among Catholic youth is declining, many are turning back to God through the ministry of National Evangelization Teams. Father Mike and his staff believe that we are going to see an entirely new generation of faith-filled Catholics emerge in the coming years!
New Generation
Washington, D.C. – Vibrant and exciting are two words that aptly describe the youth ministry of Evangel Temple in Washington, D.C. — under the leadership of Youth Pastor James Holcomb. Since all of the young people at Evangel Temple believe that God is raising up a new generation to take His gospel to the world, they have called their youth group the New Generation Ministry.
Each Friday night, all the young people at Evangel bring their friends from school or work at attend an exiting evening of praise and worship with their band, “Beyond Praise.” At each service, the youth drama ministry, “Living Parables,” takes an active part in the worship experience. The young people act out principles from God’s Word in order to reinforce the message that God is speaking to the church.
According to James Holcomb, New Generation is called to bring revival to the youth of the Washington, D.C. area. He also feels that the young people need to experience the presence of God, and that’s why there is so much emphasis on worship at Evangel Temple.
New Gereration also encourages its youth to be a part of its Fine Arts Ministry, missionary teams, and church athletic teams.

Maranatha Ministries
Gainesville, FL – Bob Weiner and Rice Broocks are taking the gospel to one of the most challenging places on earth — the college campus! They also invite you to plan to be a part of this exciting outreach when you are ready for college.
Bob Weiner founded Maranatha Campus Ministries in 1972. Since that year, young people in Maranatha have been trained for leadership and are now starting churches all over the world. Currently, Maranatha has over 45 churches in the U.S. and over 20 overseas.
Rice Broocks, who is the director of the campus outreach for Maranatha, met Jesus in the late 1970s at Mississippi State University. Today, he speaks to youth groups and college students all over the world. He is also the director of Champions for Christ — Maranatha’s outreach to college and pro athletes. Rice is also heading up an exciting new ministry called the Society for Creation Science.
Every year, hundreds of university students find Christ because of the bold stand that Maranatha students are taking. These kids are radical!
The students in Maranatha pass out a newspaper called The Forerunner which is published by the ministry. The paper is challenging university students to face the claims of Christianity head-on!
Maranatha is also hosting a World Leadership Conference in late December of this year in Ft. Worth, Texas. Speakers including Rosey Grier, Rich Wilkerson, and Larry Tomczak will be addressing the crowd.
If you would like to be a part of a Maranatha team when you go to college, just contact their office. Be sure to mention if you would like a free copy of The Forerunner, too:

Amazing Grace: The History and Theology of Calvinism (DVD)
Over four hours of instruction!
Just what is “Calvinism?” Does this teaching make man a deterministic robot and God the author of sin? What about free will? If the church accepts Calvinism, won’t evangelism be stifled, perhaps even extinguished? How can we balance God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility? What are the differences between historic Calvinism and hyper-Calvinism? Why did men like Augustine, Luther, Calvin, Spurgeon, Whitefield, Edwards and a host of renowned Protestant evangelists embrace the teaching of predestination and election and deny free will theology?
This is the first video documentary that answers these and other related questions. Hosted by Eric Holmberg, this fascinating three-part, four-hour presentation is detailed enough so as to not gloss over the controversy. At the same time, it is broken up into ten “Sunday-school-sized” sections to make the rich content manageable and accessible for the average viewer.

The Real Jesus: A Defense of the Historicity and Divinity of Christ (DVD)
Who is the Real Jesus?
Ever since the dawn of modern rationalism, skeptics have sought to use textual criticism, archeology and historical reconstructions to uncover the “historical Jesus” — a wise teacher who said many wonderful things, but fulfilled no prophecies, performed no miracles and certainly did not rise from the dead in triumph over sin.
Over the past 100 years, however, startling discoveries in biblical archeology and scholarship have all but vanquished the faulty assumptions of these doubting modernists. Regrettably, these discoveries have often been ignored by the skeptics as well as by the popular media. As a result, the liberal view still holds sway in universities and impacts the culture and even much of the church.
This presentation explodes the myths of these critics and the movies, books and television programs that have popularized their views.
Presented in ten parts — perfect for individual, family and classroom study — viewers will be challenged to go deeper in their knowledge of Christ in order to be able to defend their faith and present the truth to a skeptical modern world – that the Jesus of the Gospels is the Jesus of history — “the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). He is the real Jesus.
Speakers include: George Grant, Ted Baehr, Stephen Mansfield, Raymond Ortlund, Phil Kayser, David Lutzweiler, Jay Grimstead, J.P. Holding, and Eric Holmberg.

The Beast of Revelation: Identified (DVD)
Who is the dreaded beast of Revelation? Now at last, a plausible candidate for this personification of evil incarnate has been identified (or re-identified). Ken Gentry’s insightful analysis of scripture and history is likely to revolutionize your understanding of the book of Revelation — and even more importantly — amplify and energize your entire Christian worldview!
Historical footage and other graphics are used to illustrate the lecture Dr. Gentry presented at the 1999 Ligonier Conference in Orlando, Florida. It is followed by a one-hour question and answer session addressing the key concerns and objections typically raised in response to his position. This presentation also features an introduction that touches on not only the confusion and controversy surrounding this issue — but just why it may well be one of the most significant issues facing the Church today.
Ideal for group meetings, personal Bible study — for anyone who wants to understand the historical context of John’s famous letter “… to the seven churches which are in Asia.” (Revelation 1:4)
