Re: Raney v. Aware Woman's Center,
C.A. No. 97-1197-CIV-ORL-19B (M.D. Fla.)
Dear Mr. Sapp:
Our office has received your August 21, 1998 letter addressed to Attorney General Janet Reno regarding the above-reference civil lawsuit, filed pursuant to the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, 18 U.S.C. § 248. Pamela Chen, the attorney originally assigned to, this matter, no longer works in this office. Instead, please address all future correspondence regarding this matter to me.
In a letter to you dated July 9, 1998, Ms. Chen asked you for specific information about your lawsuit in order for her to make a comprehensive assessment of the matter. In response, your letter refers the Department to the clerk's office in Orlando, Florida. However, the clerk's office requires individuals requesting copies of pleadings to appear in person. Therefore, I have requested staff of a local office of the Department of Justice to go to the clerk's office and obtain these materials.
I will contact you when I have received and reviewed the materials relevant to your case.
Sincerely,
Rebecca E. Epstein <signed>
