Re: Raney v. Aware Woman, C.A. 97-1197-CV-ORL-19B (M.D. Fla.)
Dear Mr. Sapp:
Our office has received your April 24, 1998 letter addressed to Attorney General Janet Reno regarding the above-reference civil lawsuit. In your letter, you ask the Department to assist in the litigation of this lawsuit, which was apparently brought pursuant to the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, 18 U.S.C.§ 248. Your letter, however, provides no specific information about the nature of the lawsuit.
Since we cannot respond to your request without this information, we would greatly appreciate it if you would forward to us any pleadings, documents or other materials relevant to the allegations of the lawsuit, such as the Complaint or any police reports, videotapes or other documentation about the alleged Access Act violations.
Sincerely,
Pamela K. Chen <signed>
