FLORIDA TODAY threatens forerunner.com web site
FLORIDA TODAY articles formerly available on this web site are no longer available because of the threat contained in the letter below sent to the owner of the forerunner.com web site by lawyers for FLORIDA TODAY.
Forerunner.com has previously made available selected FLORIDA TODAY stories in their entirety with full credit given to FLORIDA TODAY as the source. However, since FLORIDA TODAY has threatened to take legal action, forerunner.com will no longer be able to provide articles from FLORIDA TODAY.
Forerunner.com is flattered that a Gannett newspaper would even notice a little web site with a budget of $25 a month. It just goes to show how paranoid the mainstream media, especially newspapers, are of the Internet. And rightly so -- all newspapers should be worried sick. Using fancy, expensive law firms to threaten $25 a month web sites may not be the way to go, however.
