We’re excited to bring you this first edition of The Mandate, a newspaper published for Chinese students in the U.S. Nearly two years in the making, what was once only a dream has now become reality.
Our hope is that this issue and every issue will give you challenging insights into the root causes of modern events, the latest developments from inside China, inspiring stories of Chinese students who have found a reason to hope, as well as practical tips about American cities, music, books, and culture.
Our staff consists of both Chinese and Americans who have a deep love and concern for China. We offer you something fresh and something relevant to help lift you in these very trying times.
The next issue of The Mandate will arrive at your campus in November, with bimonthly publications beginning next year. We’re excited to announce that very soon we’ll also begin printing in Chinese for your enjoyment.
