Witchcraft and Satanism: Are they one and the same?
By Eric Holmberg
Published April 2008
Most modern witches deny that they are followers of Satan and claim that their pagan concept of diverse gods does not match the Christian concept of the devil. Although Wiccans deny their association with the devil, they readily admit that they worship “a Horned God named Pan.” It is an inescapable fact that Pan is the universal symbol for Satan. Half-human and half-goat, Pan remains one of the most enduring and compelling symbols for the anti-Christ. Instead of God incarnate in man, as with Jesus, we see man joined to animal – one that is historically representative of the basest of animal and sexual passions.
The ancient cult of Pan involved rites of passage. In the Rites of Pan, music and sometimes drugs were used to entice spirits to possess the ritual’s participants. Possession by Pan, from which we get the word “panic,” often results in an obsession with sex and a need for immediate gratification. We see the sociological manifestations of this anti-Christ spirit everywhere in today’s society.
The universal law of witchcraft is similar to satanism: “An’ ye harm none, Do what thou wilt.” Another way this philosophy is expressed is in the satanic theology of Aleister Crowley, the most infamous satanist of our modern age – “Do what thou wilt is the whole of the law.” This is Crowley’s most well-known and enduring proverb.
This philosophy may seem right to those who have “been made spiritually blind by the god of this age” (2 Cor. 4:4). Yet this blinding deception obscures one of life’s most elementary truths – that ultimately there are two kingdoms and two types of people; those in God’s kingdom who have been redeemed by God and those in Satan’s who are trying to redeem themselves.
In the same way that the Kingdom of God holds to one supreme commandment, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength” (Deut. 6:5; Mark 12:30), so witchcraft can also be reduced to one essential law, “An’ ye harm none, Do what thou wilt.” and, in the case of Satanism, simply, “Do what thou wilt.” Contrary to the deceptive stereotype, no black masses or wild sex rituals are necessary to be a follower of Satan – simply deny the love and the authority of God by living your life the way you want to. You can even be religious, attend church regularly, tithe, perform good works. If it’s a religion based upon your own terms, you are still comfortably fulfilling the dictates of Satan’s most primary law: “Do what thou wilt.”
How ironic that witches and satanists should understand better than most Christians the true root of sin and the essential duality that divides asunder the whole of mankind. Each of us is ultimately given a choice upon which hangs the weight of eternity. We can go our own way and remain forever lost – or we can reach out to the One who is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
Massacre of Innocence (DVD)
Exposing The Occult Roots of Abortion
This presentation looks at the spiritual roots of abortion and exposes the myths surrounding child killing. Little known historical facts about abortion and how they relate to modern feminism are presented logically and accurately. Has been effective in converting many to a pro-life position.
Massacre of Innocence goes where no pro-life presentation has gone before in “tearing the lid off abortion” to reveal the spiritual realities we must battle if we will bring an end to this crime. The presentation is absorbing, fast-paced, informative and incredibly devastating to any attempt to justify abortion.
“… an extraordinary statement … a powerfully articulate presentation about what abortion really means, and why a great and moral nation like the United States must not allow the slaughter to continue.”

Do not be upset by this. Ignorant individuals cannot understand what you do. They do not realize their one god is actually 3. What we call gods and goddesses, they call them angels or Elohim.
They look for the differences, and they miss the similarities, similar to racism. They need realize EVERY culture has a different religion just like we all have different cuisine and language. The bible is replete with magick. Jesus walking on water, water into wine, raising the dead. Moses parting the red sea, creating plagues etc….
The bible is an example to all that magick can be and is part of every religion, and is indeed natural once we understand their underlying principles. Remember when Christians thought swimming was magick and you were possessed by a fish, now we realize anybody can swim once we understand the mechanics behind it.
Anybody from any belief system can be bad. Look at “good christians,” they enslaved Africans by the droves. They committed genocide and killed practically all the native Americans. Christianity has caused more harm than any satanist could ever dream of. So much pain and injustice has been done in the name of Jesus, I am sure he is highly upset with that, especially since he’s the prince of peace.
Christianity is not an authentic religion, namely because Jesus didn’t write the bible, jesus did not come here to establish another religion, there are enough of those. He came her to establish love, love has no bounds, and cannot be patented by any belief system. No religion has a monopoly on love.
The bible was written by a group of men during the 1st council of nicea in 325 c.e. THEY not Jesus decided what would be the central beliefs of christinity when they established the nicean creed. They decided what would be and would not be in the bible, not Jesus or his apostles, in fact they were all dead when this was done, how convenient. Christians don’t like jews when their own avatar was in fact a jew.
A brief stroll in any religious history book will explain all of this, they should call Christianity Niceaism instead, it would be far more accurate.
Me personally I adhere to no system, as I see truth in various systems, buddhism, shamanism (like wicca, theurgy, thelema etc…) hinduism (which is very paganistic), daoism etc… truth is a pathless land.
Push on, and remember, if every body discriminates against you for no reason other than their own preconcieved notions, it is them that are are wrong. Judge not lest ye be judged, I learned that one from Christianity, they should follow their own advice and stop hating, especially on the gays, leave them alone.
I don’t see why all the hatred for gays. If god hated gays, and it was unnatural why are their 1500 known species that have homosexual relationships?
The dwarf chimpanzee’s ENTIRE population is bi-sexual. People fail to realize the soul is not male or famale, only the body has sex. The soul is androgenous, when you love someone you don’t love their temporary body, you love their soul, hence homosexuality is an illusion. The soul is immortal and without sex, it is pure consciousness, like god. So there can be no real homosexuality or even heterosexuality, there is only love.
Remember I love you, even if you don’t love me. And if you disagree, I am glad, as there are infinite ways to approach the infinite.

As a proud Pagan and practicing Witch – and learned author, which this guy is not – I do not get upset by this guy’s ignorance; I simply pity his stupidity. Anyone who states “It is an inescapable fact that Pan is the universal symbol for Satan” is an obvious buffoon. And anyway, most of you think that Baphomet is a play off your devil. Or did this guy think They were one and the same, LOL? Since Paganism has been around for much, much, much longer than the religion of which he is a part, it is senseless to say WE fashioned a deity (or deities)from THEIR fictional character. The truth is, true Pagans do not recognize any “devil” as to which the Judeo-Christian set would relate. Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, Cern and other Horned Gods were around first. Christianity stole from Paganism in order to make-up their religion, not the other way around. (They sainted many of our Goddesses, they chose a day near our Yule to celebrate their Xmas, they named their Easter after our fertility Goddess Eostere and even “borrowed” eggs, bunnies and other symbols of fertility for this holiday. <What the hell would all this fertility symbology have to do with their resurrection holiday??? BTW, Ostara is the holiday honoring Eostere and also Spring Equinox on March 21. See how close Easter-day is, with all the PAGAN TRIMMINGS?> They bring trees into their home at Xmas, they utilize the Pagan custom of mistletoe, they use veils in their weddings <yep, Pagan custom!> The list goes on and on.) However, you will never convince someone, like this guy, who is brainwashed from birth that they are incorrect — especially a MAN of that religion, since they are under the misconception that men are superior to women.(Pardon me while Gaia and myself ROFLOAO!) I don’t care what they think or how they celebrate…whatever. But when people such as this guy spread outright lies — well — Karma will have Her way.
“…simply deny the love and the authority of God by living your life the way you want to…” I mean, how can you not pity a fool who won’t “harm none and do as he will” (ie, live this incarnation as he would like) because he lives every moment filled with fear? More pity.
“How ironic that witches and satanists should understand better than most Christians the true root of sin…” He is too blinded to understand that we do not recognize “sin” as he sees it, since we realize that his little book is nothing more than a work of fiction that is meant to teach lessons of life, NOT to be taken literally — just like the Wizard of Oz.
““Do what thou wilt is the whole of the law.” If you’re going to quote Crowley, finish the quote, for it is thus: “Do what thou wilt is the whole of the law. LOVE IS THE LAW. LOVE UNDER WILL.” It always amazes me how you like to lie and twist things to fit your personal agenda by simply deleting words, or indeed whole papyri. Nothing but pity, I tell ya.

I started reading this, and I almost couldn’t finish because it is so blatantly biased and misinformed. I came here looking for a definition of what Satanism is and some common misconceptions between that and Wicca- which I am currently studying. It is pitiable that one can be so close-minded and sure of themselves that they are able to post their ideas publicly without doing a speck of research for the opposing side.
Very saddening to learn, and somewhat frightening as well

Amazing Grace: The History and Theology of Calvinism (DVD)
Download the Free on-line Study Guide!
Just what is Calvinism?
Does this teaching make man a deterministic robot and God the author of sin? What about free will? If the church accepts Calvinism, won’t evangelism be stifled, perhaps even extinguished? How can we balance God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility? What are the differences between historic Calvinism and hyper-Calvinism? Why did men like Augustine, Luther, Calvin, Spurgeon, Whitefield, Edwards and a host of renowned Protestant evangelists embrace the teaching of predestination and election and deny free will theology?
This is the first video documentary that answers these and other related questions. Hosted by Eric Holmberg, this fascinating three-part, four-hour presentation is detailed enough so as to not gloss over the controversy. At the same time, it is broken up into ten “Sunday-school-sized” sections to make the rich content manageable and accessible for the average viewer.

Dr. Francis Schaeffer - A Christian Manifesto (DVD)
That Swiss Hermit Strikes Again!
Dr. Schaeffer, who was one of the most influential Christian thinkers in the twentieth century, shows that secular humanism has displaced the Judeo-Christian consensus that once defined our nation’s moral boundaries. Law, education, and medicine have all been reshaped for the worse as a consequence. America’s dominant worldview changed, Schaeffer charges, when Christians weren’t looking.
Schaeffer lists two reasons for evangelical indifference: a false concept of spirituality and fear. He calls on believers to stand against the tyranny and moral chaos that come when humanism reigns-and warns that believers may, at some point, be forced to make the hard choice between obeying God or Caesar. A Christian Manifesto is a thought-provoking and bracing Christian analysis of American culture and the obligation Christians have to engage the culture with the claims of Christ.

The Four Keys to the Millennium (Book)
Foundations in Biblical Eschatology
By Jay Rogers, Larry Waugh, Rodney Stortz, Joseph Meiring. High quality paperback, 167 pages.
All Christians believe that their great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will one day return. Although we cannot know the exact time of His return, what exactly did Jesus mean when he spoke of the “sign of His coming” (Mat. 24)? How are we to interpret the prophecies in Isaiah regarding the time when “the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11:19)? Should we expect a time of great tribulation or reformation and revival before the Lord returns? Is the devil bound now, and are the saints reigning with Christ? Did you know that there are four hermeneutical approaches to the book of Daniel and Revelation? These, and more questions, are dealt with by four authors as they present the four views on the millennium. Each view is then critiqued by the other three authors.
