Youth of Destiny!

By Mike and Yvette Kell

WHERE LIGHT MEETS DARKNESS THERE YOU WILL FIND THE CHAMPIONS!

Have you ever wondered – “Why am I here?” – “What am I supposed to do with my life?” or even – “Who am I?”

God said that in the last days young men and women would volunteer freely to serve Him.1

In these last days, God said that the youth will cover the earth like the dew. At dawn, when light meets darkness, the earth is covered with dew. In the same way, there is coming a confrontation of light versus the darkness in the spiritual realm – the kingdom of God versus the kingdom of Satan. When these forces clash, the youth, like the dew, will cover the earth as a mighty army of God.

Will you be one of God’s champions in the earth? Will you take your stand as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and fulfill your destiny in Him?

From the beginning of time, God the Father had a dream. He had a dream of a beautiful creation. He also dreamed that one day His Son, the Lord Jesus, would rule over this beautiful creation. This dream has not ended – God continues to speak to the hearts of men through the ages; imparting within them a glimpse of His plan for creation.

God’s plan is for the nations of the earth. This plan has has been continually unfolding generation after generation. Each generation is unique with its own aspect of fulfilling God’s purpose for the earth which He already predetermined.

God still has that dream today. It has not changed and it will come to pass. Just as in times past, God is speaking to the hearts of men and women concerning His purpose for the earth. He is also raising up an entire generation of young men and women who will fulfill His purpose.

You are a part of this generation that will fulfill God’s purpose in the earth.

Dreams and Visions

For ages men and women have endured great trials, suffered tremendous hardship and even shed their own blood because of the dreams that God has placed within their hearts. Once a man or woman catches even a glimpse of God’s purpose, something deep within them comes to life and they are never the same again.

Before you were even born God knew the purpose for which He created you. You are not on this earth by chance, but rather you are alive for a specific reason. And you are alive during one of the most exciting and strategic times in history – on the brink of the fulfillment of God’s dream for the earth.

Deep within you lies a destiny. Part of God’s dream already lies within your heart like a seed. God planned a great purpose for your life even before the beginning of time and He has planted that dream deep within your heart.

Hearts Aflame with Destiny

God’s dream was carried from generation to generation in the hearts of men and women who had heard His voice call them to a great purpose.

4000 years ago, God spoke to a man named Abraham and promised to make him a father of many nations. This was an exciting promise, yet there was a problem. Abraham and Sarah were very old and they had no children.2

As in the case of Abraham, God’s dream for your life will always be bigger than yourself. It will go far beyond what you can do in and of yourself. God’s plan for your life is a part of His purpose for the whole world and it will only happen when you put your trust completely in God’s ability to bring it to pass.

Abraham did not look to his and Sarah’s inability to have a child but with respect for the promise of God, he did not waiver in unbelief, but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what He has promised He was able also to perform.

Abraham dared to believe the impossible. He was willing to stake his whole life on a promise from God. He did not just settle for what was good; he wanted God’s best, for in “hope against hope” Abraham believed the promise of God – the God “who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.“3

3500 years ago, a man named Moses was raised in luxury in the house of Pharaoh, but by faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin; considering the reproach of Christ greater than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking for a reward.4

The Promise

2000 years ago, God sent His Son, born of a virgin, into the world. Through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, whereby He took upon Himself all the sins of the world, and His resurrection, He made it possible for men and women to be forgiven and cleansed of their sins and to become sons and daughters of their Father in heaven.

Having received all power and authority in heaven and earth by conquering the forces of darkness, Jesus now commissioned His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. God’s dream for the world is still shining brightly. And we are alive at the most exciting time in history. We are on the verge of the completion of God’s purposes and the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul came on the scene following the Ascension of the Lord Jesus into heaven and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. There was an intense struggle as the first Christian church was being birthed. God’s Spirit was moving mightily upon the hearts of many people at the same time there was much persecution unleashed upon these early believers.

One of the leading persecutors of the Church was a man named Saul, but his life was radically changed by a revelation of Jesus Christ. One day Saul was blinded by a sudden flash of light from heaven and he heard Jesus ask him why he was persecuting Him. When Saul realized he was resisting God, he repented and made Jesus the Lord of his life. Jesus told Saul, later to be known as the Apostle Paul, to follow Him and he would be told what he must do.5

God had chosen Paul to take the message of salvation through Jesus Christ to the Gentiles. Paul came to a place where he fell on his knees and asked Jesus, “Lord what must I do?”

Paul’s life was no longer his own. He knew deep down in his heart that there was a destiny for his life and a purpose he was created for. And he knew it was something he must do.

Each of us, when we ask Jesus to come into our hearts to forgive us and set us free from sin and to be our Lord, are called for a specific purpose. Your salvation and your purpose in life cannot be separated. They were both established by God before He even created the world.

The Nature of the Battle

Today, the battle of light versus darkness is taking place in the nations of the world. It is reported on the news every night; it is in the newspaper everyday. The forces of darkness are spewing out evil directly opposing the kingdom of God.

Though the Gospel message has many enemies, it shall prevail. This message is the word of the cross. Through willingly dying on the cross (the most brutal method of execution known to the Romans) Jesus destroyed all the power of darkness; and all authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him. And every nation on the face of the earth will bow its knee to His lordship and all the peoples of the earth will confess Him to be the ruler of the world.

The battle is raging all around you. For those with ears to hear and eyes to see this glorious triumphant struggle between light and darkness, they will be the champions of God’s purpose. Where will you find these young men and women of God? Where light clashes with darkness – there you will find the CHAMPIONS!

What is this great struggle between light and darkness; good and evil? It comes down to one thing … obedience. Will men and nations obey the Word of God and live, or disobey and die?

The Chosen Generation

In discerning the call of God and the destiny that He has upon your life, the bottom line is – you are not your own. You have been bought with a price. Jesus Christ paid an enormous price for you when He died on the Cross.

You belong to God. Your life is not yours to spend anyway you please.

God has one requirement of you. You must settle once and for all that Jesus Christ is the Lord of every area of your life. “Lord” means ruler or authority. Making Jesus Lord means giving your will, thoughts, feelings and emotions to Him. It means saying, “Jesus is in charge and now I am getting direction for my life directly from Him.”

It is the Lord who raises up kingdoms and sets them aside. He has set the boundaries of nations before time even began.

In the beginning, God created men and women in His image to rule over His creation. When man sinned, God did not give up on His plan for men and women to rule over His creation.

God’s plan continued as He raised up a man to set His chosen people free from bondage and to bring them into a promised land, a land flowing with milk and honey. He forgave His people and gave an abundant opportunity for every man and woman to fulfill their purpose in God.

This man’s name was Moses. The devil, working through Pharaoh, wanted to stop God’s plan by attempting to kill Moses. Pharaoh ordered that all the male Hebrew children were to be killed at birth, but Moses’ parents hid him so he could live and fulfill his destiny in God.

Moses fulfilled his purpose and brought God’s people to the promised land. God’s plan continued for many years until the time came that God would send His only Son, Jesus, to deliver all men and women from being slaves to sin and to make us His sons and daughters.

At the time of the birth of Jesus, the King of Judea was named Herod and – like Pharaoh – he commanded his soldiers to kill every male child two years old and younger in the land where Jesus was born. But an angel told Jesus’ parents to take Him to a secret place so that He could fulfill His purpose and destiny in God to become the Savior of the world.

After Jesus was raised from the dead, He repeated the command that God had originally given to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Jesus told His disciples to go and make disciples of all the nations of the earth.

Today, there is an anxious longing in the world for the generation that will fulfill this great commission in the earth. In Joel 2:28-29, the prophet tells us of a generation of young men and women that God will use to fulfill His purpose. The Apostle Peter repeated this prophecy on the day of Pentecost in 33 A.D. about a generation of young men and women that God will raise up in the last days to fulfill his purpose.

This brings us to the day and age in which we now live. You are a part of this prophetic generation of young men and women that is about to explode onto the scene. God said, through the prophet Joel and the Apostle Peter, that in the last days He would pour out His Spirit, they would have dreams and visions and that they would prophesy.

Yet once again, in this generation Satan is trying to stop God’s purpose by trying to kill this prophetic generation of young men and women who are chosen of God. Since 1973, in the United States alone, over 25 million babies have been killed through abortion in the devil’s attempt to stop this generation from fulfilling God’s purpose in the earth.

Thank God that, like Moses and Jesus, your life has been spared so that you can fulfill your purpose and destiny in these last days. You are the ones the prophet Joel and the Apostle Peter spoke of in the Bible. You are a part of the chosen generation. You are the a part of the generation who will fulfill their purpose and destiny in these last days.

Everything about you – your personality, the way you look, the time and place you were born – God was lovingly planned before He even created the world so that you could be a part of His dream for the nations.

God has said: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

A Child of Destiny

You are chosen of God – His hand is upon your life for his purpose. Your value cannot be measured by anything on this earth. The value of something is measured by the price paid for it. You were purchased with the blood of Lord Jesus Christ. God gave the most precious thing in His heart so that He could have you.

God is speaking to you right now deep down in your heart. God will continue to speak to you in the days to come with dreams and visions for your life. God is always with you no matter where you go or what you do.

If you will give yourself fully to the Lord Jesus Christ, your heart will become a fertile garden for God’s dream to grow in your heart. Give God all that is within you – give Him your whole heart and soul – and He will use you powerfully to be a prophet to your generation. You will have an impact on your world and you will become a part of His growing family – many sons and daughters destined for glory.
