Theodor Lehrer Faces Three Charges, 5/18/1988

A Fort Lauderdale doctor arrested last month on charges of performing an abortion on a woman against her will was charged on Tuesday by the Broward State Attorney`s Office with kidnapping and two counts of sexual battery.

Dr. Theodore Lehrer faces a maximum sentence of life in prison on the kidnapping charge and 30 years in prison on each of the sexual battery charges, if convicted.

Lehrer, 52, who is a gynecologist at All Women`s Clinic, 2100 E. Commercial Blvd., aborted the woman`s 11-to-14-week old fetus in his home, police said. He is free on bail.
