L.A. Prays for Peace

Church members prayed at Sunday services on May 3, just a few days after riots erupted in the wake of the Rodney King verdict.

Days later on May 7, Christians all over the nation gathered for a national day of prayer. The racial tensions were the focus as hundreds of thousands of believers publicly repented for the sinns of our nation.

The purpose of National Day of Prayer is for believers of all denominations to come together to repent of the sins of our nation and ask God to heal our land. The violence that erupted a week earlier in Los Angeles brought out unprecedented numbers of people. In many cities, people met at city hall to pray at noon.
